We began the day from Conneaut Harbor at 7AM with high hopes of getting into some fish . A slow start on the walleye until 10 AM when fish started flying in the boat until noon . A few flurries of walleye off the boards and a persistent deep bite lead to 19 eyes boxed by 3PM .
Haunting my dreams has been visions of steelhead and finally they have moved into the first trench . Two steelhead were boxed 1 at 4 lb and the other 6lb . Both hen "chromers" fell victim to a purple muffin challenger spoon off our downrigger 52-62 feet down in 72 FOW . This trip yielded 1 large walleye that tipped the scale at 8lbs 12ounces and 31" long . A fish worthy of a Certificate from OHDNR . Congrats Dom and Brandon on some nice fish and zero lost at the boat great job . A special thanks to Bruce for bringing the boys aboard and allowing us to share in your memories . <>< <>< <><
