I hope everyone is ready for a great season ; the fishing is gonna be HOT ! ![]() 7.12.13 Jim's group was mislead by our famous lake erie forecast group calling for winds und 10 MPH and showed up to 4-7 ft waves . Only 8 perch were brought over the rail despite our best efforts . Jay's first Lake Erie Walleye was a good 7 lber and an excellent gift ! These gentlemen combined with the Captain and mate for a total of 150 perch over the rail and 3 bonus Walleye ! The day started with gentle 1-3 foot waves ( 15 knot SW winds) and had to be called two hours early when the Lake built to 3-5 foot waves ( 25 knot west winds ) with whitecaps .....We all wished for the lake to callm down as the 3 eyes came over the rail in only 30 minutes of trolling! The 25 knot west winds proved to be a little too bumpy ...... So much for the NOAA predicted 10 knots or less wind forecast .....LOL ![]() 6.30.13 The fish are hot & heavy right now ! Great company with Joe , Dave , Jen , James and myself combined to relieve lake Erie of 30 Walleye in 7 hours . Thanks for coming aboard gentlemen an excellent day ......... ![]() 6/23/13 Dan's group managed 16 hefty walleye with a 6lb+ average ! Great company on a beautiful lake that remained flat all day ! Below you will find an assortment of videos , pictures from the trips above . There are also aerial shots .of Conneaut , OH harbor . Our Friday 7-27-12 trip was an excellent day on the water . Chuck's group managed a hearty cooler of 23 walleyes that averaged 6.5 lbs each . A wonderful day with excellent company on our vessel . 1-3 foot waves made for an excellent bite .
Our Saturday trip 7-28-12with was a bumpy one with Randy's group of 4 ( One person not pictured ) . We were greeted by lake Erie with a calm lake and a 26MPH run to the Walleye picking grounds. Immediately after setting lines thunderstorms loomed a mile north of our position and the rain had started . The lake quickly built to 4-6 foot waves and graciously a steady bite persisted from the eyes . A great day for the deteriorating weather conditions with 20 fish in the cooler and only two lost at the back of the boat . Thanks fellas a fine group of gentlemen with only one sea sickness casualty on the roughest lake we've experienced this year . Friday July 13th was an excellent day on the water . 17 Walleye and 4 steel head were pulled over the rail ; including a large specimen 12 lb chromer in ( 1 - 3 Ft waves ) ! A fine job done by James and Chris keeping the program down . The video below is of a 12lb steel head watch in the 5th second of the video the fish leaping out of the water 250 ft behind the boat .
Sunday July 15th Bill , Shane & the boys had an excellent day on the water . The early perch bite was slowed by looming thunderstorms a few miles off . After the bad weather passed we headed out to setup on the walleye around 10 AM . Another 17 walleye and 2 steel head were brought onto the deck . Only three other boats were observed from 10pm till the end of day 8 miles off shore and surprisingly the waves weren't as bad as I had thought ( 1-3 ft) . No complaints by myself or our crew as we took the best of the day from what mother nature gave us . We had a great start to the season this past weekend picking on migratory Lake Erie Walleyes . On Saturday 6-23 Terry's group hit 21 nice fish between 3 and 9.5lbs on a full 8hour trip . Five of the fish measured between 28 and 30 inches .
Sunday June 24th Kim's belated Fathers day group hit 16 nice Walleye on a half day 4 hour tour . Again 5 of their fish measured over 28 inches . Some beautiful fish have been coming aboard . Although I haven't fish for perch lately there is a tremendous bite going on right now . Reports of 6 man limits have been common . Tight lines Captain Don |
