On Friday I was joined by Mark , Sam , and Stan from Youngstown , OH for a nice day of angling on Elk Creek . The one & a half inches of rain from Tuesday night brought good flow to the stream in the morning and a tough bite ensued in the afternoon when the water cleared up . We hooked around a dozen fish and landed 6 . Two of the six fish were over 8 lbs and were hard fighting fresh fish ; just out of Lake Erie . Excellent November weather has been the story here with mid day temps in the 50's . A splendid day with excellent company .
I am very thankful to have a wonderful family , great fishing at my door step , and wonderful company to share it all .
On Thanksgiving Day I was joined by Ken & Daryl for what was an epic bite . The morning at Walnut yielded many hookups and when we moved to Elk the bite was even better after the rain that fell Tuesday night gave us prime conditions to give the chrome some sore lips : ) Collectively around 30 fish were brought to hand and I was thankful to be apart of the day of catching .
John & son Johnny joined me for a long walk , beautiful scenery , and a tough bite . Fish were inactive for us . We hooked four fish and Johnny brought a nice 7lber to hand . Thanks for the excellent company .
