This season has been one of the best mid winter bites I have witnessed in the past 6 seasons . While action can be considered hit and miss ( mainly due to the water conditions ) there is ALWAYS a bounty of fish to be had if you are persistent ! Big PA Browns are showing up not in numbers but terms of possibilities . We have caught and released 3 browns between 7-10 lbs in the past month three PA trophies by any standard ! A multitude of 20 plus fish days were had when conditions were right . The first sucker of the year was caught in January ; the great sucker migration ( thousands of suckers ) will begin around early March and adds more fun to our excursions. The coming few months should yield more of the same and I look forward to putting you on these fish . Tight lines Captain Don

I've had the privledge of fishing with many new people this season and share in thier first experiences on the tributaries. Thank you to everyone who continues to show up year after year and the new commradere we have shared . This year continues to impress with stable fish numbers and good water quality as of late . Here's a few we have been banking lately. It appears the temperatures may put a hamper on the fishing this week but we are keeping our fingers crossed for some low 30's to keep that water flowing . Tight Lines , Captain Don
My thanks to all whom have joined me for the 2015 Walleye , Perch , and subsequent Steelhead Seasons ! It has been a great success as most years past . The year was a fishing year and not a catching year however ; a great time was had by all with over 100 trips in the books with Something Catchy Charters while I was running their boats . Many memories made and now the Steelhead and Trophy Browns are coming into the streams . Here's a few pics of what we have been catching in the last few weeks and a bunch from the summer season. I have plenty of dates available for walk in steelhead and brown trout fishing ; just give me a ring : )
Capt Don 2014 has came to a close and many memories have been made . Cheers to the prosperous times ahead and find some pics below from the last couple months excursions . Fishing has been good up until the "freeze down" of the past few weeks . The streams and rivers will be thawed soon and hopefully we can get some of those cancelled trips back on track . Tight Lines as usual Captain Don !
Well winter here came in like a lion but the below freezing temps have subsided . The fishing has been good but not as good as the company I've shared . Plenty of memories have been made over the past few weeks with some nice Brown Trout and numerous Steelhead Trout to be had locally . Water conditions have been good to great with moderate water flow and some tint in the water column making the fish easier to sneak up on ! Find pics below of what has been caught in the last week or so and as always tight lines !
In my opinion this fall's run of fish is as numerous or more numerous as the 2008 steelhead run and they are still coming in ! We started our Lake Erie / Ontario Tributary Steelhead , Salmon , and brown trout trips in mid September and they have been a great success . I have been very proud and humbled to share in memories of many first's this season by numerous anglers !
I take great pleasure in helping these folks obtain their first Lake Erie Tributary fish and watch as they evolve into fish catching machines throughout the day ! Here are some pictures below of our recent adventures .... Thank you everyone for joining me in the "wilds" of northern PA , Ohio , and New York ! Plenty of time to get on the water .... We will continue to offer guided trips on the tributaries until late April 2015 ...... My apologies we've been so busy HARVESTING no time has been allowed to update the webpage . Here are so recent catches ...I hope you enjoy the pictures half as much as I've enjoyed the smiles ...What a great season 1500++++ Walleye and many more Perch have already met the freezer ! . . Captain Don
The Perch bite was a little slow but is hot as of last week and will remain this way until the end of October ! Walleye catches have been excellent with some batches with a 6 lb average . Plenty of 2003 year class fish available 8 plus lbs ! Find below pics of our recent meat runs : ) Also notice an unusual catch as of late a 28inch musky from 72 feet of water ! The first from Lake Erie I've EVER seen personally.
Tight Lines Captain Don ! ![]() 6-10-14 Good numbers of fish are to be had and with a 6-7 lb average size . We hit 4 limits or 24 Walleye off Conneaut , OH and the previous half day trip we got 7 of 13 bites in the boat in 3.5 hours . The fishing will keep improving daily ( if that's possible ) ! Find below some pics from our recent nite bite & day bite excursions ; along with some video footage from Shawn's first ever Walleye ..... An amazing experience that I got to be a part of ! I hope everyone is ready for a great season ; the fishing is gonna be HOT ! |
