2014 has came to a close and many memories have been made . Cheers to the prosperous times ahead and find some pics below from the last couple months excursions . Fishing has been good up until the "freeze down" of the past few weeks . The streams and rivers will be thawed soon and hopefully we can get some of those cancelled trips back on track . Tight Lines as usual Captain Don !
Well winter here came in like a lion but the below freezing temps have subsided . The fishing has been good but not as good as the company I've shared . Plenty of memories have been made over the past few weeks with some nice Brown Trout and numerous Steelhead Trout to be had locally . Water conditions have been good to great with moderate water flow and some tint in the water column making the fish easier to sneak up on ! Find pics below of what has been caught in the last week or so and as always tight lines !
In my opinion this fall's run of fish is as numerous or more numerous as the 2008 steelhead run and they are still coming in ! We started our Lake Erie / Ontario Tributary Steelhead , Salmon , and brown trout trips in mid September and they have been a great success . I have been very proud and humbled to share in memories of many first's this season by numerous anglers !
I take great pleasure in helping these folks obtain their first Lake Erie Tributary fish and watch as they evolve into fish catching machines throughout the day ! Here are some pictures below of our recent adventures .... Thank you everyone for joining me in the "wilds" of northern PA , Ohio , and New York ! Plenty of time to get on the water .... We will continue to offer guided trips on the tributaries until late April 2015 ......
My apologies we've been so busy HARVESTING no time has been allowed to update the webpage . Here are so recent catches ...I hope you enjoy the pictures half as much as I've enjoyed the smiles ...What a great season 1500++++ Walleye and many more Perch have already met the freezer ! . . Captain Don
The Perch bite was a little slow but is hot as of last week and will remain this way until the end of October ! Walleye catches have been excellent with some batches with a 6 lb average . Plenty of 2003 year class fish available 8 plus lbs ! Find below pics of our recent meat runs : ) Also notice an unusual catch as of late a 28inch musky from 72 feet of water ! The first from Lake Erie I've EVER seen personally.
Tight Lines Captain Don !
49 Walleyes , a Steel Head Trout , and numerous tasty white bass in two days . Fishing has become catching as of late and it will continue to be for months to come ! Book your trip of a lifetime now the remaining dates are dwindling ! Fish right now are averaging 6lbs and plentiful !
6-10-14 Good numbers of fish are to be had and with a 6-7 lb average size . We hit 4 limits or 24 Walleye off Conneaut , OH and the previous half day trip we got 7 of 13 bites in the boat in 3.5 hours . The fishing will keep improving daily ( if that's possible ) ! Find below some pics from our recent nite bite & day bite excursions ; along with some video footage from Shawn's first ever Walleye ..... An amazing experience that I got to be a part of !
I hope everyone is ready for a great season ; the fishing is gonna be HOT !
I am pleased to report the harsh winter we were experiencing has subsided and cooperative fish are lurking near . Find pictures and videos of our winter fishing and recent trips below . The creeks were pretty much locked up until a week ago when warmer temperatures let the majority of the accumlated ice flow back to Lake Erie . Frank came up to fish near perfect conditions on Saturday March 22nd . He brought 5 steelhead and two nice brown trout to hand ! Frank did not let these fish have a chance bringing in more than 75 % of what he hooked ; a fine job dude !
The water had a perfect "green" patina and visibility was 15-20 inches into the water column that makes a great scenario for excellent cold water steelheading . These conditions are great to help one learn how to "read" water in search of these arm length trout in lieu of sight fishing them .....
Our 2013 Charter Season is over however ; the fall trophy Steelhead and Brown trout returns were excellent and local tributaries continue to fish steady . Even in cold temperatures fish have been continually decieved throwing flies , egg sacks , live minnows , trout beads , and jigs . Some fresh fish have been caught and observed moving into tribs with each rain or melting snow event we receive .
Winter flows on our local tribs usually maintains a beautiful "green " color that typically makes the bite better than early season's clearer flows . The coloration is caused by sediments that run off from shale / clay deposits on our banks .
There remains plenty of available opportunities to catch these fish as we approach April . Find below photos of recent catches from October through November . Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or needs you may have tight lines .......... Captain Don Stephens

Fishing has been great .... Steelhead continue to move into local tributaries with each rain event we receive and as the flow increases so does the bite ! We continue to catch Walleye , Perch , Small Mouth Bass , Brown Trout , and Steelhead off shore when weather cooperates .
Our annual New York ventures also brought many fresh King Salmon , Browns , and Steelhead trout to hand . As of late there has been a lack of rain so spin fishing has been our main stay along with stripping / swinging streamers for early morning chrome . Larger tributaries have been producing decent fly fishing conditions. If you need information do not hesitate to call ; I will be happy to assist you ! Below you will find photos of some the recent catches ....
